David RosboroughDavid Rosborough : Chairman, rpa:group

Originally trained as an architectural technician David founded Rosborough Pratley Associates in 1983 with Derek Pratley and Kevin Walter. David has been a visionary leader of the business overseeing the formation of the holding group with its divisions, rpa:architecture, rpa:vision and rpa:facilities. Presiding over growth to a current turnover of £7m in 2008 with over 100 employees across the UK, Spain and South Africa.

rpa:architecture boasts some of the largest residential developers in the UK amongst its clients. rpa:vision is highlighted as the fastest moving design company in the UK (Design Week), working with leading international retailers altogether supported by rpa:facilities providing a true "end to end" service offer for our clients.

With over 35 years experience in the business of design and delivery, David is perfectly placed to oversee the further ambitious expansion planned for the rpa:group.

Kevin WalterKevin Walter : Director and Company Secretary, rpa:group

As a founding partner of the business Kevin retains a very 'hands on' role in the day to day running of the business with financial management across the group as well as managing key accounts including Foot Locker. He has over 30 years of experience on international construction projects across the sectors including commercial developments, airports, hospitals, retail and housing. Kevin originally qualified as an Architectural Technologist and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (MCIAT) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

His keen eye for detail and highly organised delivery of projects have positively influenced every aspect of the business cementing one of our core values of the rpa:group - exceeding client expectations but always on time and on budget.

Derek PratleyDerek Pratley : Director, rpa:group

One of the three founding members of the rpa:group, Derek started his career as an architectural technician, working with companies like D Y Davies and Fitch, before starting the rpa:group with Kevin Walter and David Rosborough in 1983. Since its inception Derek has continued to drive the business forward winning new business and guiding the company through the ISO9001 accreditation.

Derek is renowned within the industry for his pragmatic and refreshingly straightforward approach to complex issues and his passions for quality and delivery sit at the core of the company's values.

Trevor RichardsTrevor Richards : Managing Director, rpa:vision

Originally qualifying as an architectural technician in West London, Trevor was promoted to the executive position of Property Manager within Currys Ltd at the age of 25, subsequently holding senior positions in Dixons Stores Group and 'Head of Construction' at Starbucks Coffee Company UK. Joined the rpa:group in 2000, promoted in 2006 to managing director of rpa:vision.

Since the mid 80's Trevor's career has centred upon the focused delivery of over 2,000 innovative store development projects making him one of the most experienced retail executives in the UK.

Nigel CollettNigel Collett : Creative Director, rpa:vision

Originally qualifying with a degree in product and furniture design, Nigel commenced his career at Dixons quickly rising to the role of Design Manager for PC World via secondment to the Silo Corporation in America. He has since held senior design positions at retailers such as House of Fraser, The Disney Store and Venator (formally the Woolworths Corporation USA) before joining rpa:vision in 2000 as Creative Director.

Since joining rpa:vision, Nigel has helped grow the business to become one of the largest retail design and delivery companies in the UK, working on a vast array of projects from high end to high street. He also played a key role in the recent recognition of rpa:vision in the Top 5 in UK industry performance tables.

Ian ArcherIan Archer : Director, rpa:vision

Ian joined rpa:vision in 1994 with a strong focus on the operational aspect of the business. With rpa:vision's project managers reporting to him, Ian carries responsibility across the company's key accounts including Starbucks, The White Company, The Mall and Tommy Hilfiger.

With extensive experience in logistics as well as his renowned high standards, Ian's focus on attention to detail and customer satisfaction always ensures a quality project delivery. Ian promotes through his strong team, that whatever the challenge, it's always met with the right solution, in the right place at the right time.

Lee AtkinsLee Atkins : Associate Director, rpa:vision

Lee is responsible for some of the company's key client accounts including M&S, Starbucks, '3', Superdrug, PC World, Curry's and MPL Interiors.

Prior to joining rpa:vision in 2002, Lee worked with corporations including B&Q, Siemens and British Aerospace. With his extensive knowledge of project management and store planning Lee has built up a reputation within the retail industry as 'the man for the job' with an enviable series of success stories of store roll outs such as Starbucks across the UK and Foot Locker in Europe.

James BreaksJames Breaks : Associate Director, rpa:vision

James Breaks trained as an architect prior to joining rpa:vision in 1994. During his time with the company James has worked across all aspects of the company's unique end-to-end offer and built strategic relationships with key clients including Tommy Hilfiger, Dunhill and Vertu.

One of the founding members of the creative design department, his breadth of experience in retail gives him a unique advantage to appreciate all facets of the creative and production processes.

As a recently appointed Associate Director, James is focusing on the continued strategic expansion of the design team alongside Creative Director, Nigel Collett.

Martin PlayfordMartin Playford : Managing Director, rpa:architecture

Before joining rpa:architecture in 1998 Martin built up international experience within a number of Architectural Practices including Hunter Price Partnerships, JMB Architects and D Y Davies Associates. His versatility across the disciplines of planning, project managing and technical architecture as well as his wide ranging project portfolio meant that Martin was perfectly placed to take on the role of Managing Director in 2008.

Having been in the business for over 40 years, Martin leads from the front and is well respected as someone to trust with a project no matter how big or small.

Lee AllcockLee Allcock RIBA : Director, rpa:architecture

As the most recent director to join rpa:architecture, Lee brings considerable experience with him, having worked both within architectural practices and client side in the house building sector. Qualifying at Kingston University Lee's specialism includes planning and design having worked on master planning and urban design for key projects across the UK.
